The widowed support group of First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora meets at 9:30 am in the chapel on the fourth Thursday of each month.  It is open to men and women who have experienced loss.

Join our community for a delicious Pancake Breakfast.  We serve pancakes, French toast, link sausage, eggs, biscuits and amazing gravy, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice and whatever surprise a member might donate.  Sometimes it's star fruit, sometimes it's coffee cake.  It's always a surprise.  We have this event the first Saturday of every month. Everyone is welcome!

Mount Dora Art in the Alley- is a community focused event, hosted by Mount Dora Center for The Arts. The event is geared towards providing local emerging artists an opportunity to showcase & sell their work to the public in an outdoors, art market setting (All Artists are Welcome!). We also focus on offering affordable, original, quality works of art to the art enthusiast, who otherwise, may not afford the luxury of ART Admission/Artist Set-Up Fee Admission is free to the public, but best of all, artist set-up is also free!

    We are back!  Mt Dora Library Community Room wants our group back.  We have a lot of reconnecting to do,  new friends to meet and new questions to ask about health.  We belong to the national non-profit Plant Pure Communities.  There are now almost 500 groups called Pods around the globe. The mission is build stronger, healthier and more sustainable communities.   Please join us start the New Year with a bang.  We will share a pot luck meal that is whole food plant based. ( No meat, eggs or dairy and please avoid highly processed foods).  Please bring your ideas and a dish to share with the recipe on a card for others to photocopy if they like the dish.   We will listen to your needs and wants.  We will toss around ideas for films, book or documentaries to review, recipes to exchange, cooking demos, pantry supplies and shopping lists.  We are here to offer support, education and referals to many others that help you to maintain a healthy lifestyle.   Yes this is a free event.  No selling of any products or services.  We are a support group for those that want to improve their health and others to share their successes.
